9.  William BLOWS (John Edward-3, William-2, William-1) was born in 1865 in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia.
He died on 9 May 1942 at the age of 77 in Forster, New South Wales, Australia.
He was buried on 19 May 1942 in Forster, New South Wales, Australia.


It is believed that William brought his family to Forster, New South Wales, in 1897 to take over the licence of the hotel. He kept the hotel for twelve years before retiring to a house on three blocks of land in Beach Street.
"Forster's first hotel, the 'Fishermans Rest', was built on the land in the vicinity of the Tahiti Flats by a Mr FAGAN.
It was a two storey building with a fine circular bar on the first floor. It burnt down about 1890, but before it had been destroyed a second hotel had been built, where the present 'Lakes and Ocean Hotel' stands today, by Mr BLANCH. BLANCH later sold to L O MARTIN of Taree and later passed into the control of William BLOWS, followed by Charles BOWERS and then Mr TOOLEY".
