Fifth Generation   31.  Robert INGLIS (David-4, James-3, John-2, Alexander-1) was born on 4 Dec 1803 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. He was baptized on 11 Aug 1809 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. He died on 19 Jan 1876 at the age of 72 in Edzell, Angus, Scotland. He was described as a strong man who was six feet two inches in height. He was educated at the Kings College, Aberdeen, Scotland, and became a Parish Schoolmaster at Lochlee. on 1st March 1826 he was licensed to preach, and on 8th June 1836 was ordained as the Church Minister for Lochlee. on 20th October 1841 he moved to Edzell Robert INGLIS and Helen BRAND were married on 28 Nov 1830 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. Helen BRAND, daughter of Alexander BRAND and Jean ANDERSON, was baptized on 27 Dec 1810 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland. She died on 9 Oct 1884 in Montrose, Angus, Scotland.   Robert INGLIS and Helen BRAND had the following children:   +51 i. Alexander Brand INGLIS, born 26 Jan 1839, Montrose, Angus, Scotland; married Jessie Ann TAYLOR; died 1886. +56 vi. James INGLIS, married Mary NICHOLS, 1903, New South Wales, Australia; married Ethel Kate MACPHERSON, 13 Dec 1905, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; died 15 Oct 1908, Strathfield, New South Wales, Australia. 57 vii. Henry INGLIS was baptized on 31 Jan 1857 in Edzell, Angus, Scotland. He died in 1899. 58 viii. Thomas Chalmers INGLIS was born in 1847. He died in 1893 at the age of 46. 59 ix. George Brown INGLIS was born in 1854. He died in 1936 at the age of 82. [Became a Church Minister. Resided at Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand]. 60 x. William Burnett INGLIS was born in 1851. He died in 1878 at the age of 27. 61 xi. Robert INGLIS was born in 1835. He died in 1843 at the age of 8. 62 xii. William Panmore INGLIS was born in 1841. He died in 1843 at the age of 2. 63 xiii. John Knox INGLIS was born in 1849. He died in 1878 at the age of 29.
