He died in 1923 at the age of 80. In 1856 he was sent to the Normal School in Edinburgh, Scotland, then entered an insurance office. In 1866 he moved to London, England, and started his own business. He joined the London Irish Volunteers, reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He presented the Inglis Memorial Hall at Edzell, Scotland, in 1898. Robert William INGLIS and Ellen
