He died in 1955 at the age of 87 in Penzance, Cornwall, England. In 1891 Enoch was living at 14 Battery Square, Penzance. [His occupation was listed as Driver of Cart. However, according to the 1881 census, at the age of 12 Enoch was on board the Mount Edgecombe industrial training ship at Saltash, Cornwall. This vessel was not a Royal Navy Training Ship but did train boys in all aspects of seamanship. The 56-gun HMS Winchester was built at Woolwich but was lent in 1861 to the Marine Society and moored at Liverpool, where she was re-named the Conway. She was returned to the Admiralty and became HMS Mount Edgcumbe on September 1st 1876. On June 28th 1877 she was re-commissioned as the Mount Edgcumbe Industrial Training Ship for Homeless and Destitute Boys. She was initially moored off Saltash Passage. The Regulations for the Admission of Boys to the Mount Edgcumbe Industrial Training Ship in 1884 . Enoch may have been admitted to this vessel as his family may have been made destitute by the death of his father before the 1881 census. In the 1901 census his age was recorded as 39. This would have meant he was born in abt 1862 and that all the previous census reports were wrong. It is more likely he was around 33. In the 1950s Enoch had a flat at Penalverne, Penzance.
