[Rockhampton Morning Bulletin ... 22nd October 1948 :The wedding of Edith Maude, the youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T. H. Ricketts, Clermont, and Frederick, youngest son of Mr F. Cable. East Perth, and the late Mrs Cable, was celebrated at St Matthew's Church of England, .Grovely, Brisbane, recently. The bride, who was given away by her brother. Mr C. Ricketts, wore a street-length frock of pale blue crepe and accessories to match. She was attended by her sister. Mrs M. L. Staer, as matron of honour, who wore a frock of light beige crepe and accessories to match. Mr C. Teuffel acted as best man. Ä reception was later held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Staer, Enoggera.
