11.  Charles John COOKE (Emma Strickland RICKETTS-4, Thomas Butcher-3, George Charles-2, JOHN-1) was born on 23 Jun 1885 in Queensland, Australia.
He died in Nov 1934 at the age of 49 in Enerakd, Queensland.

The death occurred in the Emerald Hospital of Mr. Charles John Cooke at the age of 48.
Mr. Cooke, who was a native of Clermont, is a son-in-law of Mr. S. Armstrong, of that town, his grandparents and parents being well known identities of the Peak Downs.
His father, Mr. George Cooke, who resides in Rockhampton, is also welL known in the Clermont district as a wheelwright and blacksmith.
The late Mr. Cooke served his time in the printing trade with the 'Peak Downs' Telegram,' under the guidance of his uncle, Mr. W. G. Ricketts.
Mr. Cooke came to Emerald about 22 years ago to work on the 'Leichhardt Chronicle,' and was working on that paper until the plant was destroyed by fire.
For the past three years Mr. Cooke has been carrying on 'The Leichhardt Weekly' at Emerald. He was always a conscientious and honest workman and took an interest in town bands of both Clermont and Emerald.
The funeral left the Methodist Church, Emerald, Rev. R. Toft officiating both at the church and at the graveside.
He is survived by his wife, and two daughters and four sons.
Mr. G. Cooke, of Clermont, is a brother of the deceased.
