[Central Queensland Herald ... 9th May 1935 :RICKETTS— MORAN. At the Holy Trinity Church, Sonth Brisbane, on April 30 Miss Beryl Moran, eldest daughter of Mrs O. M. Moran, South Brisbane, and the late Mr J. J. Moran was married to Mr C. T. Ricketts, eldest son of Mr and Mrs T. H. Ricketts, Clermont. Mr E. W. Bow gave away the bride, who wore white bridal Baiin featuring « cowl neckline, and a Brussels lace veil (lent by Mrs W. Vaughan). She carried a sheaf of frangipanni and tuber roses. Her two sisters, Misses Dulcie and Joyce Moran, as bridesmaids, wore pink and blue metal-run georgette with hats of blue and pink ring velvet.. Their bouquets were of pink roses and carnations. Miss M. Kiernan sang a solo. A reception was held at the Atcherley Private Hotel, where the bride's mother wore figured saxe blue georgette and a matching hat. The bridegroom's mother favoured navy floral marocain trimmed with white kiltings and a navy yelour hat. On leaving for the honeymoon which is being spent in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, the bride wore a marine blue Russian tunic frock with cherry trimmings, and she added a hat in the same toning] She died in 2012 at the age of 103. |
